Instructions for Submitting a Proposal

  • Complete the “Call for Presentation” form.
  • Review for completeness, accuracy and legibility prior to submitting the form.
  • The completed form must be submitted by 5:00 pm Tuesday, September 12th, 2017.
  • Presenters will be notified of acceptance by 5:00 pm Friday, September 15th, 2017.

If you are submitting a proposal on behalf of someone else, please provide their contact information so that they may receive the notification.

Proposals will be accepted for:

Presentations – Team or individual proposals accepted. Sessions will run a total of 60 minutes – 45 minutes for an in-depth presentation with 10-15 minutes for Q&A.

Panels – Panel discussions will be considered. They may be organized and submitted as a group by a panel coordinator, or an individual may submit their particular viewpoint to become part of a panel.

Hands-on Labs – Sessions featuring real world scenarios and advanced techniques will be accepted.

Presentation Rules:

Content – techITout seeks to educate its audience and not promote any specific products. Exhibit space and demo rooms are available for promotional activity. Only presentations that are product neutral and vendor agnostic will be considered.

Presentation selections will be made based upon desired topics, flow of content, educational value and understanding of the content. All selected content will be published in Conference publications and online.

Agenda Schedule – The conference organizers will set the day and time for each presentation, in order to optimize the sequencing and flow of content and tracks. Sessions will end at 5:30 pm.

Educators Speaker Benefits

techITout has a tradition of using educational conference sessions as a platform for innovation in the field of information technology and does not pay an honorarium or travel expenses to its speakers.

All speakers will receive the following: a complimentary pass to the conference with access to the keynote session, all sessions, panels and a special gift sent after the event closes.

Speakers will be featured in the conference publication and promoted in conference correspondence and on the website.

The above benefits do not extend to support staff or colleagues who may accompany the speaker.

The Selection Process

We strive to offer a balanced program of educational sessions by selecting proposals that best fit within the framework of the conference.

Practical Application

Sessions conducted by presenters that offer either a practical, immediately applicable work tools will be given preference. Also, any presentation denoting the future of technology is also acceptable – what’s hot in the industry or coming soon is also acceptable.

We expect presenters to:

Meet ALL deadlines;

Retain the session content

Audio/visual needs as originally submitted

Honor our commitment to provide education by NOT showcasing or promoting the speaker’s practice, services or products

Respect techITout as the sponsoring organization with either positive or neutral comments from the platform.
